Silhouettes

Silhouette: "...the dark shape and outline of someone or something visible against a lighter background, esp. in dim light." "From its original graphic meaning, the term "silhouette" has been extended to describe the sight or representation of a person, object or scene that is back-lit, and appears dark against a lighter background. Anything that appears this way, for example, a figure standing back-lit in a doorway, may be described as "in silhouette". Because a silhouette emphasizes the outline, the word has also been used in the fields of fashion and fitness to describe the shape of a person's body or the shape created by wearing clothing of a particular style or period." (Wikipedia)

As a photographer and a creative, I have the opportunity to interpret a silhouette as I can imagine it. It can be a shadow, an outline, fully blacked out or with some visibility. To me, a silhouette is romantic, mysterious, a moment two people share that is not seen by anyone else.

As silhouettes are becoming the latest 'rage', I wanted to share just a few of my own. Enjoy!
